The University of Edinburgh Business School has a long and established tradition of research excellence, dating back to 1918, when we introduced the first Bachelors of Commerce.  Since then, we’ve remained committed to developing effective and responsible leaders, through the creation of incisive knowledge in dialogue with the world around us. Part of the University of Edinburgh, globally ranked 17th in the world, we’re a vibrant, dynamic Business School.

Today in addition to 21 undergraduate programmes encompassing a range of business topics, we offer 11 Masters programmes coverage cutting-edge themes including Carbon Finance, Banking and Risk, International Business and Emerging Markets.  We’re also one of the top 1% of business schools world-wide to be triple accredited by the three largest and most influential accreditation bodes -  AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

The world of business never stands still, so it’s important we as business educators keep pace with the developing agenda to deliver the skills our students need to stand apart, and create the leaders needed to address emerging challenges. Strong links with major businesses including Procter & Gamble, KPMG, Shell and Tesco allow us to engage directly with emerging global trends, and understand the skills and employers prioritise and need.

Our new Executive MBA has already welcomed an impressive group of 30 senior executives, including international talent from BP, Rolls Royce, RBS, Lloyds Banking Group, Standard Life and Ferrovial, among others.  And we’ve just launched a new MSc programmes in International Human Resource Management in response to the latest emerging challenges facing global industry.

Meanwhile we work closely with professional bodies including the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) institute to ensure our human resource management and finance programmes provide graduates with the accredited qualifications they need to secure professional roles.

Our E-Club, a programme of events, workshops and pitching competitions delivered in partnership with Santander has also established itself as a valuable network where more than 800 students, alumni and entrepreneurs come together to share ideas and support each other in realising their enterprise ambitions.

Our students like many of our teaching faculty, come from a variety of backgrounds and countries, which gives the Business School a really international feel. Walking the halls you’ll find students from Shanghai, Delhi, Paris and New York as well, as the best home-grown UK talent, exchanging ideas and enjoying exposure to each other’s culture.

Our impressive location at the heart of the University’s campus means you’ll be located right at the centre of the vibrant city of Edinburgh.
